"I just finished going through Beginner Power Tool School. You take just the right amount of time explaining everything and showing us how to then carry out cutting and assembling the project. I have watched lots an lots of videos etc, but came back to do your course. You have inspired me to now turn on my saw and start some bigger projects."

Learn three steps to building projects you can't wait to show off

1. A way to cut lumber

The first thing you need is a way to cut your lumber and the easiest, most versatile tool for this is a miter saw.

We cover:

  • the trick for measuring out a perfect cut
  • the reason your saw isn’t cutting straight and how to fix it
  • how to make angle cuts
  • and more!

2. A way to join boards

Next you’ll need a way to join your boards together to build those beautiful projects and the most common tool for this is a drill.

We cover:

  • the reason why your boards keep splitting – and how to avoid it
  • different types of drill bits and how to change them
  • how to drill partial depth and through holes
  • and more!

3. A way to make it pretty

And last, let’s make those projects pretty! Learn how to use a sander to create perfectly smooth surfaces and really make your projects shine.

We cover:

Put it all together

I wouldn’t give you all of that info and then just leave you hanging! Beginner Power Tool School also includes a section of skill builder projects that you can build using only the three tools we cover in the course.

Skill builder projects include printable building plans with detailed instructions and video tutorials. All of it designed specifically for first time builders!

"This was the first time I have ever used a miter saw, drill and kreg jig. My husband helped me out with some guidance. We were so happy with the bench that we have adapted your plans a little to make end tables to match! Thank you so much for sharing your plans and inspiring me to finally give woodworking a try!"

Hey I'm Emilee!

As a military spouse who has moved 7 times in the last 10 years, I know what it’s like to live in a house that just doesn’t feel like home.

Learning to use power tools and discovering the amazing sense of accomplishment that comes from completing DIY projects has allowed me to add personal touches to each place we’ve lived and build sentimental pieces of furniture that have traveled the country with us.

Seeing my family eat dinner around the table I built or my kids plant flowers in the garden I built just for them are heartwarming, rewarding experiences that I wouldn’t trade for anything.

I’m so excited to help you create the same amazing sense of accomplishment and sentimental experiences through DIY.

Some questions smart people ask...

The instructional videos inside Beginner Power Tool School are exclusive to the course and are the culmination of my past 10 years of building experience.

You can definitely find free information online, but Beginner Power Tool School will save you hours of research by having all the information you need in one place. Plus, in addition to instructional videos you also get access to building plans and videos to walk you through your first projects.

My friend you’re in the right place. Beginner Power Tool School is designed to take beginners through their first experience with power tools by providing in-depth tutorials and explanations. In short, don’t sweat it! I got you 🙂

We’re covering 3 beginner power tools in the course – drills, sanders and miter saws.

I want to get you into the garage and building your first project as quickly as possible.

So, instead of complicating things by giving you a ton of tools to learn, I’ve narrowed it down to three tools that perform the basic tasks you need for any building project – a way to cut your lumber (the miter saw), a way to join your boards (the drill) and a way to make it pretty (the sander).

These aren’t the only tools you’ll ever need, but they ARE the only tools you need to get started.

After you purchase the course you will get instant access to the course material. You’ll receive an email with instructions for setting up your username and password. You’ll use those to sign into the member’s area of the course where all of the content is stored.

If you have any more questions, please send me an email at emilee@mamaneedsaproject.com and I’ll make sure you have all the information you need to make the best decision for you.
